Seriously, Man Can’t Live Without God

The current shaking in the universe, which is impacting governments and economies, is none other than God placing a demand on man to come into proper alignment, to get back to his source – God. These shakings will not get any easier as long as man is out of alignment.  To view these present conditions in the natural and then give definition to the Spirit is misleading.  It’s a weak approach to not discerning the times that we are in (Lk 12:54-56). The spirit of religion is always able to interpret the signs in the natural and also be correct, but there is no discerning of the Lord’s time. After seeing catastrophic events unfold, people gripped by fear quickly conclude that the world is ending. Most definitely the world must end (these are systems set up by man and is carnal), but the earth won’t end (Ps 24). Man must truly start to understand his source and not be swayed by current conditions.  To those that are born from above will always see things from above.

The universe is made up of spheres and environments. Everything within it exists according to its domain or kingdom.  There’s the kingdom of this world which is the kosmos. Then there’s the sea kingdom, soil kingdom, and animal kingdom. We then have the ultimate Kingdom of God of which He is the King of kings. Within every kingdom there’s an environment, air, gravity and life that sustains that specific kingdom.  A closer look at each kingdom other than man would show that everything produces accordingly without complain and each part functions within the measure of its kingdom, i.e. a fish cannot produce a dog and birds cannot produce corn. However, there’s only one species or entity that can partake and function is all of the other kingdoms and this is none other than man. He has been given dominion over all of these kingdoms and is a direct representation of God.  But man is lawless, out of order, chooses not to respond and lives outside of his identification of God. He chooses to live in a needy state and is reliant on others to provide avenues of opportunity for him and is deceived in finding his identity when he already is.

Remember, after Adam was created he was need of nothing, but everything that he needed was around him. The last man Adam functioned in a more excellent manner.

Everything within creation can only produce according to it purpose (Gen 1:11&12).  All things are maintained from the substance that it comes from and when it dies it will return to that source.  Plant life is sustained by the soil, fish are sustained within the sea and animals the earth.  If these are removed from their source, they will surely die.  Because all things are composed of the same substance as the source from which they derive, they also contain the same potential as its source.  For man, his source is God.  The identity of a species is always revealed by the demand placed on it.  Trials, circumstances and the wilderness experience is part of the “demand” that God places upon us humans.  In order for a plant to live, its nutrients are provided in the soil which is it’ source.  If the soil does not provide an adequate supply, then the soil is dead.  What prevents the supply that is rightfully ours as humans is the out of order of the law of God within us.  As we keep our relationship with the source which is God then His potential becomes ours.

Matt 4:4, “But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” NKJV

When God places a demand on man to be holy, righteous and just, He not referring to a legalistic rule, but this is our place of supply just as the soil provides nutrients for the plant and is sustained, we are sustained by Him through the words out of His mouth.  Then, righteousness, peace and joy in the Spirit are our nutrients.  During this time of transformation, man must remain related and connected to his source.  Man’ identity is God and God puts a demand on him to produce the identification of who God is.  Seriously, man just cannot live without his source – God.

Response to Japan Nuclear Scare

I would like you to read the article below written from my friend Michael McCausland with HISG.  Many people may buy to the hype of the nuclear scare from the recent earthquake in Japan.  Mike has experience that we can all learn from.  ~ Vishal Jetnarayan

Response:
Michael McCausland
Executive Director at www.HISG.org

I was a licensed Reactor Operator and Senior Reactor Operator at a pressurized water reactor (PWR) versus the boiling water reactors (BWR) in this incident.  I was on the control panel and ran the reactor and nuclear fission process.  I also provided consulting services to 55 of the 100+ nuclear plants in the US some of which were BWRs.

The greatest challenge here is the lack of accurate data on what is going on inside the plant.  We learned in the US from the Three Mile Island accident (i used to train Operators about this incident) that sometimes even the Operators in the Control Room were not sure what was going on in very unusual situations like has happened in Japan.  Your instrumentation can provide very strange indications when you are in territory you have never experienced before.  None the less, these Operators are the best trained specialists in the world and typically have to undergo extensive training and exercises every 6-8 weeks for as long as they carry a Reactor Operator License.

That being said, the greatest challenge to making recommendations is to have accurate data on the situation.  I think the article you attached is a very accurate representation relative to how a BWR operates and seems to accurately portray what has happened in Japan.  Knowing the extensive amount of back up and redundancy systems that are built into a nuclear power plant, i was having a hard time trying to guess what had happened to all the redundant systems until i saw the explanation in this paper and now it make perfect sense.  I now understand how all the backup diesel generators failed as a result of the tsunami that followed the earthquake, (i knew they were probably already in a Unit Black Out situation, which i have personally experienced as a Reactor Operator at a US nuclear plant).  I could understand how all the batteries systems failed, they were depleted from being used as designed.  I can also see how bringing in backup diesels could have been a problem for restoring power.

From what i have read in the article, they are doing all the right things to maintain integrity of the core and control the heat removal process to continue cooling the reactor that has been shutdown.  The article is correct in that it physically CANNOT blow up like a nuclear bomb and that ultimately, all they have to do is continue to put water (with the boric acid) into the core and they can accomplish the cooldown.  Yes they will have more contamination using seawater than distilled clean water.  But this water is contained and can be processed.

I do have a few remaining questions that bother me related to information that is provided in the article.

1) Is an issue related to the hydrogen explosions

2) Is related to finding of cesium and iodine outside the plant.

When the zyrconium fuel rods melt they interact with the water and produce hydrogen as a by product. The Three Mile Island hydrogen explosion was a result of melting zirconium fuel rods and then the fuel pellets melted.  When the fuel rods melt the fuel pellets are exposed and nuclear fission materials are released into the atmosphere.  The article seems to indicate that the hydrogen is just a result of hot water temperatures.  I dont agree.  The multiple hydrogen explosions indicate to me that there is considerable melting of the zirconium rods. Further evidenced by cesium and iodine being found outside the reactor.   I would also think there may be some melting of fuel though this is hard to determine as of yet.

Overall, I again reiterate that they are doing the right things to continue to cool down the reactor. Venting pressure, even if it is hydrogen gas, still helps maintain the integrity of the reactor vessel.  The ultimate challenge at the site is to continue the core cooling process until enough decayed heat has been removed to achieve a stable cooled configuration in the core whether or not it is melted.  As long as the reactor vessel remains intact, most of the real serious concerns will be averted and overall impact to the public at large will be averted.

If I were a disaster responder, I would want to

1) Continue watching the situation for another 48 hours to validate success in achieving a controlled cool down of the cores in question and integrity of the reactor vessels.  I personally feel that this will be the most likely outcome.

2) Avoid working in locations downwind of the power plant to avoid exposure to radioactive particulate like cesium or iodine that could have escaped from the reactor.  I would like to see someone in the area doing background radiation checks and random testing of soil and surfaces for contaminated particles settling out of the air.

3) If the area is questionable at all, keep some type of mask over your nose and mouth to keep out dust and particulate.  The last thing you want to do is get radioactive particulate inside your body where it can do more damage.  Your clothes will block particulates from reaching your skin so where long pants, long shirts, a hat and gloves.

4) If you find yourself somehow contaminated with radioactive materials, dispose of all clothing, and take a long shower with a scrub brush.

Some have also asked if we have any exposure problems here on the West Coast of the US from radioactive fallout.  I would say that this is highly unlikely!  Though you can have particulate from nuclear bomb testing go half way around the world, this would be a very rare situation.  Kind of like a single ash from a small fire floating half way around the world and landing on your head!  Not likely!

Hope this helps and makes some sense!

Rethinking Vision

Recently I had the opportunity to talk with a senior man whom I respect dearly and age wise, he could be my granddad.  If you ever met him you can’t help but fall in love with him. I suppose this comes from the kind, gentle spirit that he possesses. As we talked, he asked me about some of the changes that have taken place in my life.   After sharing about these changes, he looked at me and said, “Oh, how I wish I had some kind of vision for my life. I really don’t know what my purpose is.” I was really stunned by his comment and my heart became quickly saddened, my eyes filling up with tears for him.  He seemed to have lost his way on his journey and the key ingredient of “hope” for his destiny has now become more of a wish! This should never be so at his age.

There are hundreds if not thousands of people who have come to a sudden awakening that there’s more to life than where they are.  The impact of the current changes in the earth causes individuals to assess their identity, their purpose and mission.  To understand life, humanity searches and researches for breakthroughs, but the answer is really not blowing in the wind.  The quest for these answers is within the architect who designed humanity and all of creation – God. The distance of us exploring life is determined by how far we want to go in Him. The pressures that we might be experiencing are not to deter us from destiny, but it’s merely shaping us to steward with foresight. In the words of Captain Cook, “I have no desire to merely go where other men have not gone — I want to go as far as it is possible for man to go.”

Please read this poem by an unknown person.

There was a calf that made a trail.

The trail turned into a path.

Dogs and sheep walked in the calf’s foot steps,

Followed by men, complaining of winding trails;

But came along day by day any way.

The path became a lane,

Then a road, then a village street,

Then a thoroughfare,

Then the central street of a renowned metropolis.

Some centuries and a half

Trod in the footprints of that calf.

A hundred thousand men were led

By one calf near three centuries dead.

For men are prone to go it blind

Along the calf paths of the mind;

And work away from sun to sun,

And do what other men have done!

Beaten paths are for beaten men;

They blindly follow where others trod;

But men of faith search long for God;

So they set sail where none have been.

They sail on uncharted sea,

Fearing not what men before have done.

Their soul’s desire is just to BE

The express image of the Son!

There is a people in the land

That follows God and God alone,

Refusing beaten paths of man,

They will not rest till they reach home.

When the sons of God for joy did shout,

We were there, and our hearts cried out

For realms in Spirit to set us free —

We are the people sailing uncharted seas!

The Truth About Astrology and Horoscopes – Vishal Jetnarayan

Several weeks ago I went to Lowes, the ideal man toy store that sells pretty much anything related to construction and homes. As I was at the cashier register paying for my bill, the cashier requested for my drivers license.  She entered in my ID into her computer and as we waited, she looked at me after viewing my date of birth and said, “ you’re a Libra,” to which I responded, “Well, I really don’t care much about horoscopes.” Recently I’ve been seeing so many people, including followers of Christ, getting into astrology and horoscopes to know their future. Astrology is the study of the relative positions of the planets and stars so that ones future can be predicted. The word horoscope comes from the Greek word horoskopos and literally means observer of the hour of one’s birth. So, a horoscope is a written plan correlating the time of a person’s birth with the position of the planets. People choose to listen to creation over the voice of the creator. God absolutely speaks all the time and so desires to have a personal relationship with mankind. Unfortunately, man does not take the time to know Him and His voice personally. The lack of knowledge causes people to search everywhere for answers rather then going straight the source of life – God.

Zodiac has changed, but the Creator remains the same.

The zodiac is a band of stars that appears to encircle the earth. The stars are clustered in groups and are called constellations. The Zodiac consists of 12 divisions or constellations and each group is perceived in the shape of men, women, animals, monsters, and objects. Each group bears a name and is called a “sign”. These constellations change their positions in the heavens with the change of the seasons. If the stars could be seen in the daytime, the sun would appear to move through a series of constellations, entering a new one each month. This “highway” through the sky is called the Zodiac. These are listed in the following order: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces.

In 2011 the world awoke to a sudden revelation that there was now new zodiac signs. This changed beliefs and horoscope traits because a new 13th astrological sign was discovered (Ophiuchus, the serpent holder). Many people were taken by surprise because that which they read about their lives daily was now changed and their horoscopes were different. This may have raised some objection, but the fact of the matter is that function and beliefs would now be changed. Ophiuchus changed the alignment of the zodiac signs, which now changes how people read their future.

The stars, a lesser light, was not made for God, they were made by God. They express the glory and the beauty of our maker and throughout the scriptures we are able to read about their existence. God through His generosity would display the wonderful works of His hands and His creation would reflect His intelligence, thoughtfulness and architecture. To stop at the sun, the moon, or the stars would be a limitation, because, our creator is infinite! Astrologers and those who believe in astrology have changed the truth of God into a lie and worship and serve creation more than our Creator. The scriptures state in Jeremiah 33:22, “ The host of heaven cannot be numbered.” Before the invention of the telescope by Galileo, this statement would be considered an exaggeration or false. How in the world can the stars not be counted? Men were of the belief that the universe is not at all that big. Earth is one of the smallest planets compared to the rest. Astronomers have had to admit that there are billions upon billions of stars. Some even go to stating that there’s one sextillion stars in the sky (heavens). However, man is limited because he not has been able to figure out its outer perimeter, but the creator knows – “it cannot be numbered.” Now, this God who remains the same further stuns mankind in Ps 147:4 “ He counts the number of stars; He calls them by name.” They each have a power and a purpose, but only can because of the creator – God. Giving insight to a persons life by assessing the environment will offer little value, but is limited and has no ability to empower them. Astrology is limited, pointing people to the problem, as it may reveal circumstances, but possesses absolutely no power to change the situation. The only one that can empower mankind is our Creator – Christ!

Creating Your Future, Prt 2 – Eugene Strite

Author, Eugene Strite

My dad was a farmer and as a result, I grew up in the farming industry. Farming is hard work, and through this I learned some incredible values. I don’t know how much I really valued waking up in the early hours of the morning on those cold winter days, yet this was part of what I had to do.  We made some money while farming, but it was never enough.  I knew that there was more to life and I would often dream of the possibility of being a millionaire. I couldn’t shake this of me, but at the same time it seemed impossible because I could not see abundance.  Based on my church background, the topic of money was frowned upon.  I had to make some decisions that would go against the grain of common thinking in creating my future.  In creating your future, how you think has to completely change.

My favorite advice I love to give people is don’t look at what you have to determine what you are to do, but look at what you are to do and start with what you have.  Everything in life is going to cost something but once again, it’s all wrapped up in how one thinks.  Remember, my environment was farming and my town was rural. The next best thing I had going on in life was going to church because this was my heritage.  Now, coming from my Christian background, there were many things that I learned which contradicted creating my future. One of the things I learned was that making a lot of money was not being humble enough, as related to me through Matthew 5 – “Blessed are the poor in spirit.” The leaders would quote the poor part but forget to add spirit.  They were afraid that money would make a person become caught up in pride and eventually lead to a downfall. The verse quoted was from from1 Timothy 6:10 “For the love of money is a root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have been led astray…”  So, to be poor was to be more righteous and this was a tolerated mindset. This type of belief shaped my thinking process. It led me to believe that I had to choose between dreaming of becoming a millionaire or to be more righteous.  I did not know that one could be a righteous millionaire.

My breakthrough of this ungodly mindset came when I met a gentleman at my church that was wealthy and had been involved in investing.  The church really criticized this man for being wealthy because in their eyes, wealth and being righteous was like oil and water – they just don’t mix.  This man, despite what the church thought about him, intrigued me.  He seemed to be creating his future just fine in the midst of opposition.  After meeting him, I really wanted what he had. The keys to his success were based on giving, investing and buying rentals. He was kind, considerate and helpful. He possessed a wealth of information and he became the person I accessed so that I could break my old mindset about wealth.  I was moving a step closer into creating my future.

Breaking an old mindset can be difficult. It’s like a person praying for breakthroughs, but when breakthroughs come, a lot of people get mad because it does not come the way they expected it to.  For some strange reason we expect our minds to be renewed based on how we currently think. In creating your future, your plans will definitely get upset.  It will cause you to become uncomfortable with your present beliefs. Beliefs can be like walled cities in your life which you often create, for many different reasons, as a means of protection.  We all like a little protection! But in doing this, one can miss his/her season of great opportunities.  If I did not take the time to go and meet with the wealthy gentleman whom the church deemed unrighteous, then I would have remained in my mindset which favored being poor.

We use the name of God in vain frequently under the banner of scriptures.  Many people think that Jesus was a poor man. I have heard this said so many times by leaders preaching and songs being sung.  How untrue! The gifts given to Him by the three wise men was at an estimated millions in today’s value. He received this when He was a baby!  Jesus wore a seamless robe – only the rich could afford this. I’m stating these things so that you can revisit your view about whom you serve.  You can only move forward in your future when you start to see everything around you as your inheritance and that you can truly have dominion. Your destiny is amazing, it start’s with you changing your mindset.

The Other Side Of God

I do love God and I also believe that He is absolutely good. I’m a witness to some really astounding things that He has done in my life, but I have to admit that there’s another side to Him that I have begun to learn about. Call it an adventure with Him.  The same good God that I serve placed a tree in the middle of the garden and enticed Adam.  I fully agree that God is the maker of all the heavens and earth, and everything within it. He is the same good God who sets up kings and brings down kings. He even used wicked men to bring correction to His children.  God does not have any opposites – He created everything.  He created the devil, principalities and strongholds. They are only here because of Him. He made both good and evil. Is it possible that this amazing God has a dark side that we don’t really like to talk about? Why? I think we like to live in a bubble of our belief of Him only being good.  Truthfully speaking, if you don’t know His other side, then you won’t know what His goodness is. How would we know mercy if we never needed it? How would we fully comprehend grace, if we never realized that we needed countless chances to grow into the maturity of Christ?

The Hands of God

We sometimes view God has having only one hand, which is His right hand and we then associate this to His goodness.  There’s nothing wrong with that. Now, God is Spirit and He does not possess flesh, however, the Spirit has sensory beyond human flesh. But there’s also the left hand of God that we rarely talk about. Remember, Jesus said that when He appears in glory, He will separate the nations as a shepherd divides the sheep from the goats.  The sheep will be on His right but the goats on His left. Those on the right will be blessed and those on the left will have to depart. These two sides clearly show the dealings of God in our lives. The right hand of God is the word “yamiym” in the Hebrew and means – stronger or dexterous. The meaning of the word left in the Hebrew is “smowl: which is “dark.”  So, there are two ways in which God moves and acts to accomplish His purpose. There is a positive and negative and God’s mind is revealed. It was during my personal process that I started to understand His other side. Honestly, I don’t think anyone can capture the full grandeur of this but to that which we understand is what we can tell.

Personal Process

Two years ago I was ministering at a youth conference in Durban, South Africa together with my prophetic team.  It was during this time that I received a divine encounter with the Lord that I will never, ever forget. I was in my room with three other guys and I went to bed around 1 am.  I was asleep and I had a dream. It was as if I was watching myself dream the dream.  In my dream the Lord appeared to me and asked this question, “ Will you go anywhere I send you?” My response was, “Yes, Lord, I will go anywhere you send me.” Then, the Lord asked me the question again, “Will you go anywhere I send you?” Now, this time around I watched myself reason and ask myself, “Why is He asking me the same question again when I already responded.” So, I answered the question in an apprehensive manner because I felt I answered Him right the first time around. As soon as I responded, I watched my bed break and I started to be swallowed, while fighting with every ounce of my life not to let go.  I immediately awoke and my heart was pulsating like it was about to pop out of my chest. This encounter startled me, but God in His kindness was about to take me on a journey.

From November 09, my life felt like it was going on a downward spiral, as I faced one obstacle after another.  There are so many incidents that occurred that really made me question the God that I had known. I felt what I was going through was hell.  I prayed fervently but not hearing God made me question Him even more, but yet no answers came.  Despite what I felt within my emotions, there was this occasional hard to believe part of God.  I felt like I was in a perpetual state of thinking: “what the heck is going on, this is really not you Lord.”

The Fall

I prayed many times like most believers do and told God that I do trust Him.  However, as we grow in Him, the flip side is also important; can God trust us?  In my dream I was afraid to fall.  I said I trusted Him despite everything, but I don’t know whether I really meant what I said as I was fighting my way up in my dream.  I said I would go anywhere, yet fought like hell against going “down.”  If I could let myself go and fall, trusting that He would be there despite the unknowns, then He was also able to trust that I’m willing to fall.  Trust that I trust Him.   It’s that gap between falling and landing that was dark.  When talking about the dark side of God, believers might get the impression that God is a bad Father and hates people and His creation. People might think that He is vindictive, cruel, and brutal, perhaps one who shows no feelings. God is no lousy Father, He is the best Dad in the world. When facing the other side of God, all we are really learning is the other side of His love.  The more we learn about His sovereignty, the more we realize that all things are after the counsel of His will. The best posture to His purposes is us willing to submit to Him.

Sunday Morning Christianity, Prt 6 – Help! I Need A Covering.

**** DUE TO THIS BEING A SENSITIVE MATTER, I WROTE THIS RESPONSE AFTER A LENGTHY DISCUSSION ON MY FACE BOOK PAGE ****
Thanks for your responses. The matter of “covering” is a sensitive topic in the church and has been for a while. My aim in blogging about this is not to divide believers against each other, but to hear positive views so that w…e can change and grow to maturity:). I guess we can call it being family, where siblings might not agree about everything, but at the end of the day, they are still family :) .

A dear friend of mine once told me that, “In the day that we draw to conclusions, all learning ceases.” There are people who are probably offended with leaders and the church in general and can take this topic of covering to an extreme and become distanced from fellow believers to the point of ridiculing the church and taking on a critical spirit. Remember, part of our design is to be social and therefore we really do require leaders and people in our lives. Then, we have the flip side of when leaders manipulate and misuse their sheep for their own gain. There are extreme leaders and then there lots of great, sincere leaders. Truthfully, everything within the heavens and the earth is being shaken and this also includes the church. Christ who is “Truth” is our foundation.

Davie has made some really balanced comments and he is one of the most sincere leader’s that I know. I do understand his concern for balance in the scriptures, but also that people don’t become an “island” unto themselves. We have many leaderless people, groups and meetings around us and we don’t want to be another statistic! His view of “submission, obedience and oversight” is vital for growth and cannot be ignored. I also do understand that coerced submission, obedience and oversight is misleading and has done lots of harm then good. For example – a woman receiving a continued beating from her husband is less likely going to submit and obey him.

As we go through this process of reformation, there must be internal change which brings alignment in our own lives. The more change in us, the more we fall in love with that which God loves – The world.

Every move that God ushers into the earth is always pure.  Apart from man, God never works with anything else to steward His

moves. He really loves us and we are the only species made in His image!  History will show that in almost every move, it’s always man that contaminates what is pure.  Whether it be pride, selfish gain, or perversion, man’s heart always becomes revealed.  Due to these misrepresentations of the King, we quickly learn how to create lawful teachings so that we can regulate what goes on and to top it off, we sign the decrees in the name of God. This seems great because we want to preserve the reputation of Christianity.  Anyone reading the bible can quickly conclude with thoughts that favor their own beliefs.  One of the beliefs that we have learned is that a local church is our “covering” and if you are not attending or a part of a local church, then you are in rebellion.  So many believers walk aimlessly into this belief because we have been taught that this is proper church government. Many go church shopping in need of help because they require a local church for a “covering,” as this seems fitting and they are thought that this serves as a base for accountability and protection for ones soul.

Building the Pyramid

During the past 15-20 years the church has witnessed the emerging of so many church leaders who feel the call to five-fold ministry and many of them to like to be called by the title “apostle” or “prophet.” Within this move a lot of pastors got promoted to such titles.  For some strange reason, many believe that an apostle is the highest-ranking call within the fivefold ministry. I guess we forget the scriptures that state “bondservant” or “apostles are first and last.” Better yet, men who pioneered churches prefer the title apostle because in their mind an apostle is one who plants churches. There are also apostles in the scripture who did not plant churches. Once again, I refer to Eph 4:11 and it says “some” so, some means some! Since many men in their own eyes elevated themselves to these callings, we would hear messages geared toward the importance of covering.

The scripture says something different in Isa 30:1 “Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but NOT OF ME; and that cover with a covering, BUT NOT OF MY SPIRIT, that they may add sin to sin.”

It seems as though these leaders love to lord over the sheep by making decisions for the sheep all in the principle of spiritual submission. So, everyone is in submission to someone higher in the pyramid.  This is none other then the formation of hierarchical leadership with just a few people at the top.  Wait a minute! I thought that Christ’s church is built upon the foundation of apostles and prophets (Eph 2:20). I don’t know of any foundation above the ground. It’s in this type of environment where believers are taught that they cannot trust their ability to hear from God.   Likewise, they are not taught that the scriptures can be opened up to their eyes and that they can really walk with the Lord hand in hand and make decisions by listening to His voice. The basic premise is that the shepherd has to hear God for the believers. Therefore, Sunday after Sunday, we find that leaders have to follow a certain theme and it has to have continuation as if the sheep won’t get what they are saying. So in order to know what the next part is, one will have to wait for the following Sunday! Some may call this suspense, but I call it Christian therapy.

Several years ago I was scheduled to speak at a prophetic conference.  I love taking people along with me to be part of the meetings, so I asked a gentleman whom I knew to accompany me to the meetings. He was really hungry to learn about the prophetic, so I offered him the opportunity of learning and also to be part of the ministry.  He did really well from what I remember. However, a few days after that conference, his pastor came to my office and reprimanded me for not asking him for permission to take his sheep along.   My goodness, the man that accompanied me was in his thirties, he was married and loved God! This pastor’s approach somewhat baffled me.

The emphasis on “covering” has become important to leaders to the point where if a believer does not have a covering of a local church they are in danger, deception and cannot discern the will of God for their lives.  They will soon fall into a delusion and get caught up in the worldly system. Are people that gullible to believe anything said by leaders who are charismatic? Is God that distrusting to a people that He will call sons?

Covering

As we review the scriptures, the inception of covering was when Adam and Eve saw themselves naked in the garden and hid from God. Our awesome Father covers them with the skin of an animal.  We will find “covering” in the Old Testament related to the skin of animals used for the tabernacle.  However, as we search the scriptures, there is no place on record in any of the sixty-six books where one would find that elders are a covering for the believers. There is no place where a “husband” is called a covering for his wife.” There is no place where one could find stated that the church is the covering for the believers. In fact, as we read the scriptures we will find that the Church of Christ is not localized. Our physical body is one and not divided all over the place. Let’s get real – You can search the scriptures upside down, inside out but your effort will serve you in vain trying to find a scripture verification that substantiates the covering belief; it simply does not exist.  It’s a man made tradition!  This is a man made bondage that keeps people confined and they are not empowered to become sons and impact the world. Instead of being the church, the called out ones – the cliché is that “they have to go to church Sunday after Sunday.” The law is only for the lawless.

Moses and Elijah

Moses and Elijah are two icons in the Old Testament and each provide some amazing insight into the workings of God.  We transition from the Old Testament into the New Testament with the Prophet Malachi describing “The Day of the Lord” and he describes what the Spirit of Elijah is – The heart of fathers & sons turning to each other.  Moses and Elijah will also appear with Christ in the New Testament on the Mount of Transfiguration (Matt 17). This was an incredible moment for Peter, James and John to be witnessing something so spectacular.  I too would have been in awe of seeing such a demonstration of the Spirit. Peter suggested erecting three tabernacles after this encounter. After it was over, both, Moses and Elijah faded away and they only heard the voice of one man, which was none other then Christ. As much as God has raised men to be leaders in the Church today and given instruction, the aim of any five-fold leader or elder should be for them to connect the sheep directly with the Good Shepherd. Moses and Elijah have an important role to play, but the purpose of these types of ministry is to lead men, women and children to a closer, direct union with Christ. This is when people are now hearing God for themselves, having encounters with Him and enjoying a personal, close-knit relationship with their Maker. The more they connect with God personally, the more they connect with humanity. The messengers of God always decrease and give Him increase. This is when the King is King and the people are His constituents.

The Lord is our Covering

Do we need a covering? Absolutely, the Holy Spirit through various ways has given us a surety of who the true covering is.  It’s Him! The Lord is our covering and it’s every church leader’s responsibility to lead people to the one who covers mankind.

Isa 51:16, “ And I have put my words in your mouth, I have covered you with the shadow of my hand, that I may plant the heavens, lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, “You are my people

Isa 61:10, “ I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in God, For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation.”

Ps 91:4, “ He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge…”

Matt 23:37, “ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together as a hen gathered her chicks under her wings, but were not wiling!

One of the major reasons why people become unwilling is because they prefer to honor the traditions of their fathers instead of the commands of God.  To say that we earnestly need pastors, elders and any other man to cover us other than Christ will surely lead us to stagnation.  Don’t get me wrong; God places people in our lives but not for them to keep us bound so that after 40 years we keep talking about the past. The Holy Spirit is the anointing and we need to set our gaze on Him. We are to be conformed to the image of Christ. Remember the early days of Israel when the children cried out for a king and God gave them their hearts desire.  They chose to be covered by Saul over the King of kings. If this is what you want over Christ in you the hope of glory, then God will give you what you desire. If you want men to rule over you rather then being drawn to Christ, you definitely will receive your wish but at a hefty price – bondage!
